Connect Claude to Lisense

Add Lisense as a custom connector in Claude, then query Florida license data in plain language — no custom chat page needed. Claude becomes the chat page.

  1. Get your credentials. Log in to the Lisense dashboard and create an API key (Dashboard → API keys). The key is shown once — store it somewhere safe.
  2. Open Claude's connectors. In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the MCP server URL:
https://api.lisense.dev/mcp
  1. Connect your Lisense account. When Claude asks for credentials, enter your API key as the Bearer token.
  2. Ask in plain language. Try: “Find me 50 agents licensed last week in St. Lucie County.” Claude calls the search_licenses, verify_license, related_licenses, top_brokerages, brokerage_agents, and get_usage tools for you. Try also: “Who are the 10 largest brokerages in Duval County?”
  3. Check the date. Every answer carries an as_of date — the weekly DBPR bulk extract the data came from. Up to a week of staleness is expected.
  4. Watch the meter. Every tool result carries a _quota block with the records used by that call and your monthly usage against your tier's record quota. AI assistants: call get_usage before large jobs, start with small limit values, and don't spend a material share of the remaining monthly quota without asking first.

The connector is read-only: it can search, verify, list related licenses, rank brokerages by county, and page a full brokerage roster, but it can never create or revoke API keys or change your account.

The usage meter is visibility only — it never blocks or throttles requests. One record = one licensee row returned by a data tool.
